Abstract
Agriculture is still the most substantial economic sector and plays a significant role in the overall socio-economic development of India. The study aims to identify problems of marketing of agricultural produce in Thoothukudi District.
The Objectives of the present study are:
- To study data on the socio-economic structure of farmers in Thoothukudi District.
- To know the size of operational holdings of the sample farmers.
- To analyse the income earned through agricultural businessand several hours devoted to agricultural activities in the study area.
- To identify the choices of marketing of agri-products and
- To evaluate the marketing problems faced by the agricultural farmer.
