Abstract
The present paper is giving portrait pictures of the group insurance benefits to the employees are working in the private and public sectors undertakings. The author has studied the group insurance meaning, the previous scheme of group insurance - employees deposit linked insurance (EDLI), the new paradigm of group insurance, insurance sector in India present scenario, list of life insurance companies, list of general insurance companies, group insurance in India, the expected growth of premium of group insurance business in 2019-20, descriptive and linear regression value of group new business performance of life insurers - channel-wise, descriptive and linear regression value of group insurance claims admitted and paid, Indian public and private sector insurance companies progress, review of literature, and marketing target of insurance companies. The present article will help the academic community to do further research on group insurance concepts in India.
